Questions on the record

A catalog reference, the registry number where one is assigned, molecular formula and mass, the purity specification, the supplied format, the storage range, and a dated revision history. That is the whole record. Nothing on this site describes what a compound does, because that is not something a supplier can responsibly tell you.

It tells you which revision of the catalog entry that vial was filed under. If the entry has since been revised, the letter on your label and the letter on the site will differ, and the revision history shows exactly what changed and on what date.

Lot numbers are stamped at filling and printed on the vial. We do not publish a lot lookup: a number typed into a web form proves nothing, and treating it as proof would be worse than not offering it. The lot on your vial is there so your own records can reference it.

Each entry records the purity specification it is held to, and the specification is printed in the reference data on the entry. If a specification changes, the change is filed as a new revision with its date, and the earlier figure stays on the record where you can read it. The specification is what the entry states; it is not a claim about what any individual vial was measured at.

Each entry records its own storage range, and the range is printed on the label. Lyophilised material is generally held at -20 °C, sealed, dark, and dry, with temperature swings kept to a minimum. Follow your own laboratory's handling procedures.
